Wow! Time is certainly flying by. Just finished our sixth week of Ladies’ Golf. I hate to see it go by so fast because winter lasts a long time. We still had an excellent turnout on June 9 of 27 ladies despite Mother Nature tossing rain our way. We did manage to play our whole round without getting wet but some of the other ladies weren’t quite so lucky.

Tuesday, June 2, was wet but wonderful. It was one of those days when your jacket was off and on a number of times. Thank goodness it wasn’t windy or cold. The wonderful part was staying after golf and having supper on the patio…with the proper social distancing in place. Darlene had my favourite chicken burger back on the menu and it was wonderful.

A couple of years ago hubby and I purchased 600 (yes, 600) used paving bricks - the interlocking kind. Our plans were to make a nice walkway between our property and the Rudd property next door. Needless to say we procrastinated last year and the bricks remained stacked on our carport. In the meantime Bob had some issues with his knees and now the project was mine. What I thought would take me a week has expanded to taking over my life completely.

Well, I was certainly feeling like a lucky individual on May 5. No, I didn’t have a good golf game. It was actually the pits. But I was lucky because I was able to go golfing. I spent a couple of hours with some good friends - out in the sunshine on a beautiful sunny May day. Ladies’ Night was very different than it has been other years but it was Ladies’ Night nonetheless.
