Barriere Jr. Boys Basketball Team bring home Single A West Zone Championship

A big congratulations to Barriere Secondary Junior Boys Basketball Team for bring home the Single A West Zone Championship. The Championship was held last weekend at SaHali Secondary in Kamloops. Barriere boys beat South Kamloops Senior Secondary in the final game with a score of 48-26. A great way for the BSS team to finish off their season.

The Province and its partners have announced they are currently leading a review to ensure B.C.’s trails remain sustainable for people’s outdoor enjoyment. Currently B.C. has about 30,000 kilometres of formally recognized and managed trails, which include The Trans Canada Trail, First Nations Trails, rail trails, and heritage trails.

Barriere Secondary Sr. Girls Basketball play Kelowna tourney

Barriere Secondary School Senior Girls Basketball team headed off to Kelowna for a three day tournament on Jan 9 - 11. Two team members could not attend due to previous injuries, and one player was injured during the tournament on the Thursday. However, the girls rallied for their last game of the tournament which was against the Osoyoos Rattlers. It was great basketball, with plenty of fast paced action and well-played by both teams.
