Ladies Golf close enough for a cheery wave

Ladies Golf close enough for a cheery wave

A new month - new COVID rules - a new start. For the first time this year the ladies gathered on the patio at Chinook Cove to dine, share stories, hear jokes and hand out prizes on the evening of Tuesday, June 1.
Humming on the golf course

Humming on the golf course

Don’t know why there’s no sun up in the sky − stormy weather. If you are old enough you should now be humming this old Etta James song and perhaps cursing me a bit. On Tuesday, May 25, the afternoon was a little like that though occasionally the sun shone down upon us and we didn’t get too wet. Only 21 ladies braved the threatening skies and took to the course. Once again only two of the 21 didn’t win a prize but at least this week it wasn’t me. Sorry about that Val and Brenda.

Good fortune shines on 23, but two not so lucky

Evelyn Lucas and I are not losers …. BUT, 25 ladies golfed on the evening of Tuesday May 18, and 23 ladies won some sort of prize (long drive, long putt, KP, low gross, low net or perhaps just a plain door prize). BUT on Tuesday night Evelyn and I won nothing, absolutely nothing. I did have a lovely time golfing with my buddies. I did have a delicious dinner out on the patio, and it didn’t rain on us which always pleases me.

Hope springs eternal when it comes to golf

Tuesday, May 11 was another beautiful spring day and 32 ladies headed out to Chinook Cove Golf to enjoy an afternoon of golfing and socializing. I enjoyed the socializing more than I enjoyed the golf. We do a lot of laughing and teasing - two of my favourite things.
