Turkey dinner with all the fixings. What can I say? Wonderful, marvelous, delicious. Finished off with a delectable pumpkin dessert that was as good as my pumpkin pie. The ladies in the kitchen at Chinook Cove out did themselves and made my day. Thanks to you all.
Hot on course – but no one melted

Hot on course – but no one melted

I am slowly (and I mean slowly) acclimatizing myself to these warm temperatures. On Tuesday, July 6, the temp was in the mid-thirties and I still managed to survive my round of golf without melting. My score rose exponentially with the temperature so it was not a pretty total. I actually golfed my age and I am getting older ever day. I had the very dubious honour of winning the prize for most putts.

Tuesday night golf leaves ladies well done

Tuesday night golf leaves ladies well done

Hey what’s cooking - me! With temperatures that climbed into the 40s on Tuesday, June 29 , starting early in the day was the only way to golf on Ladies’ Night. My team has a standing tee time of 4 p.m., and we decided at noon that we just weren’t going to make it in the heat. The truth is that Debbie and I decided at noon, but the other two had already decided on Sunday that they weren’t going to golf in the heat.

Dynamic drives and pitiful putting helped even the score

Dynamic drives and pitiful putting helped even the score

Another Ladies’ Night has come and gone. This season is passing by much too quickly. The skies had a threatening look on June 8, but the rain did not materialize. That makes me sad for the garden but happy for my golfing.
