The North Thompson Activity Centre summer care program at the Barriere Ridge enjoyed a visit from Barriere RCMP Cpl. Robert Welsman on July 11. The officer explained the jobs that a police officer does. Heshowed the youngsters the police vehicle, finger printing kit, and a bulletproof vest (body armour) that one of the smallest children got to try on. The summer care program runs throughout the summer, Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. through the summer, with the last day being Thursday, Aug.
