RCMP report a Barriere woman has been charged in relation to several unrelated incidents which allegedly occurred in May and June of this year.

Twenty seven weeks can change lives. That’s the time it takes to complete the health-care assistant program and begin working on the frontlines with some of the most vulnerable people in the community.

To wrap up another busy year of hard work and sportsmanship Barriere Secondary held their annual Athletic Banquet and Potluck on Tuesday, June 18, with students, staff and parents in attendance at the school gymnasium. Numerous awards were handed out to some very deserving young athletes, and by all reports the potluck was a great success.

The Thompson Nicola Regional District Board at their June 13 meeting approved Federal Gas Tax Funds totaling $79,000 for improvements to the Little Fort Community Hall water system.

“Members of the North Thompson Fall Fair &Rodeo Association are now out and about with books of 50/50 raffle tickets for our annual fundraiser,” says NTFFRA director Jane Milburn.
