I am slowly (and I mean slowly) acclimatizing myself to these warm temperatures. On Tuesday, July 6, the temp was in the mid-thirties and I still managed to survive my round of golf without melting. My score rose exponentially with the temperature so it was not a pretty total. I actually golfed my age and I am getting older ever day. In order to offer support to the evacuee’s from the Lytton Fire that decimated the town on June 30, Jana and Rob Holstein of RGH Mechanical in Barriere got together with Trish Munro and arranged for food and water to be trucked into Siska for the evacuees. However, the Holsteins didn’t stop there, saying they “felt that what the town really needed was fuel, as some of the residents didn’t have enough fuel to get out if they had to”.
