A fair-sized crowd of young people and their parents or caregivers took part in the Clearwater Children’s Art Festival at Dutch Lake Community Centre on Wednesday, Aug. 9. North Thompson Fall Fair and Rodeo’s Ambassador program 2017 candidates, Miss Insight Tire Emma Hamblin, and Miss Barriere IDA Payden Irving, were on site to hand out passports to the event attendees.

This year’s theme for the North Thompson Fall Fair is the pride of the chicken coop… the ‘rooster’. The Fair will also be celebrating Canada’s 150 birthday during the event, and they are inviting everyone to participate in the big Saturday parade on Sept. 2, or the family parade on the Labour Day Monday. The time is now to plan your parade attire and float, or maybe dress up the dog or even your granny. Everyone is welcome to enter the parades and there is no entry fee. Go to www.fallfair-rodeo.
