Annual Christmas luncheon at Barriere Pentecostal Church is scheduled for next Tuesday

The Christian Life Assembly Pentecostal Church on Annesty Road in Barriere (across from the high school), has been holding a community Christmas Luncheon for years, and since 2010 the luncheon has also been used as an opportunity for donating to the Barriere Food Bank. From 2010 until 2016 they have raised over $4,200, plus received numerous food items for the Food Bank. The Christmas luncheon is a community effort.

Barriere be hosting an exciting Late Night Shopping event in the core of the community from 5 to 8 p.m. This is a special event to provide area residents with the convenience of shopping close to home after normal business hours. Late Night Shopping provides a seasonal holiday flavoured event that the whole family can enjoy, and for many, just minutes from home. This is also a good time to turn the kids loose so they can make their own special purchases to put under the tree.

The annual Senior’s Craft Fair was held on Saturday, Nov. 25, at the Barriere Seniors’ Hall. The hall was filled with tables loaded to capacity with all manner of seasonal goodies and crafts. Some of the busiest tables were those that sold homemade baking, with at least four such tables at the event.
