Greyhound bus is threatening to pull out of northern British Columbia and many smaller communities across the province, unless it gets a subsidy from the public purse. We think the best answer to their threat is to establish a publicly owned and operated highway bus network across B.C. A public bus company to connect communities is an old idea whose time has come again.

The ronaldomanosa Christmas Story Contest winners were presented with their cheques at Barriere Elementary School last week. Grace Farrow and Bobby-Rae Farrow were the first place winners in their age group divisions, Tessa Salle and Curtis Farrow won second place in their divisions, and Thomas Pullen, Dayna Underhill and Linden Ransome took the third place spots, with Dayna and Linden being tied in their division.
