In a recent interview with the ronaldomanosa, District of Barriere CAO Bob Payette explained the next steps that are now currently underway to improve the wastewater system in the community.

A full day of barrel racing competition returned to the North Thompson Fairgrounds facility in Barriere on Saturday, July 9, providing plenty of fast action and excitement for the ‘Dash For Cash’ event. Competition organizer Darcey Woods reported 55 competitors turned out to compete, some great runs were made, and riders are already training for the next race.

On Thursday, July 7, B.C.’s Minister of Municipal Affairs, Nathan Cullen and Ministerial Advisor Ashley McKay, made a stop in Barriere after accepting an invitation from District of Barriere Mayor Ward Stamer to tour the municipality. Cullen was elected MLA for Stikine in the 2020 provincial election.
