Warming Centre at Barriere Ridge welcomes evacuees for registration and more

The Barriere Ridge and North Thompson Volunteer Centre became an evacuee registration center for ESS last week, giving those displaced from their homes by threat of wildfire and staying in this area an opportunity to register without driving to Clearwater or Kamloops. As of Tuesday 520 people had registered. The Volunteer Centre (NTVIC) is making available at no cost donated clothing, personal items, toys, bottled water and other necessities for the evacuees.
