Honeymoon Bay played host to the Vancouver Island pairs, triples and fours carpet bowling provincial finals on April 16.
Teams from north and south Vancouver Island travelled to Honeymoon Bay for a one-day, single round robin tournament. Each team played each other once to determine first, second and third place in each division.
"It was another great event with high level of skilled play," said organizer Dick Orman.
Crofton's Bruce and Wendy Carey won first place in the Pairs event. Lighthouse Bowser was second and Bowen Park-Nanaimo was third.
Bert Lambert, Petey Sahay, and Gary Goodfellow of Honeymoon Bay placed second in the Triples event behind Bowen Park-Nanaimo, who took first. Brian Cameron, Lovey Pritchard, and Percy Owens from the Cowichan Lawn and Carpet Bowling Club in Duncan took third place in the Triples event,
Langford's 50+ club placed first in the fours event, with Bowen Park-Nanaimo second and third.
