‘The Jolly Ranchers’ Christmas Carolers will be out and about in Barriere on Saturday, Dec. 18.

Event organizers advise that carolers, horses and riders, plus holiday season enthusiasts will be visiting the town and bringing their own special way of wishing everyone a “Merry Christmas”.

“We will be carrying the good old fashioned tradition of spreading holiday cheer with songs, laughter and good hearted fun,” advised Melanie Stutt, “We are inviting everyone to come and enjoy the season from the roadsides, the end of your driveway, or you can even come out and join us.”

Plans for the event will get underway at 2:30 p.m. with a visit to residents at the Yellowhead Pioneer Residence.

From there ‘The Jolly Ranchers’ will be making a 4:30 p.m. stop at the Christmas At The Fair Drive Thru Light Show happening at the North Thompson Fall Fairgrounds where they will be presenting stationary caroling for 30 minutes in the parking lot beside the Fall Fair Hall next to Barriere Lakes Road.

From there the group will travel west on Barriere Town Road to Green Tree Subdivision where they will present “roving caroling”, and then they will head over to the North Thompson Agriplex parking lot off Dunn Lake Road for more caroling.

The group is asking all area residents driving in the community to please be aware of them and to respect their group as they move throughout Barriere spreading Christmas cheer.

Anyone who would like to participate is advised COVID-19 precautions will be maintained. Do not attend if you are not feeling well, keep to your social bubble, maintain social distancing, and wear masks as appropriate.
