Winter weather made its way into southern British Columbia the afternoon of Monday, Dec. 13, with Environment Canada issuing heavy snowfall warnings for several areas.

The low-pressure system brought with it anywhere from 10 to 20 centimetres of snow into the Lower North Thompson Valley within approximately 12 hours. A power outage was also experienced by a number of properties in the Glen Grove area during the storm.

By late afternoon on Tuesday, the snow had stopped and a few rays of sunshine had made a brief appearance over Barriere.
