Last Wednesday at Barriere Elementary School students from Mrs. Jennifer Kerslake’s, student teacher Miss Dana Rorison’s and Mrs. Lynne McGravey’s grade 3 classes strapped on their cross country skis and enthusiastically enjoyed the new layer of snow that blanketed the North Thompson.

Barriere resident, Cora MacLaren, has accomplished the first hurdle in achieving her dream of one day playing at the women’s national level for team Canada.
