Qualicum Beach goalie Connor LaCouvee has started a development program for budding young netminders on Vancouver Island.

He has established LaCouvee Goaltending and will hold a Vancouver Island Summer Goalie Development at the Nanaimo Ice Centre on July 11 and July 12.

An Oceanside Minor Hockey Association product, Lacouvee has eight years experience as a professional goalie with teams in the American Hockey League, ECHL, and in Europe.

LaCouvee stresses a holistic approach to his goalie program that focuses on three principles: technical, tactical and mental.

On his website, LaCouvuee indicated "this comprehensive approach ensures that goalies under my guidance are not just robotic athletes but strategic thinkers, well-rounded and prepared for any challenge on the ice."

For more information about his development program, you can visit the website at https://www.lacouveegoaltending.com or call 250-951-2806.
