95th Annual Williams Lake Stampede officially underway

Thursday evening performance included popular Mountain Race and Wild Cowgirl Race

A good crowd turned out to kick off the 95th Annual Williams Lake Stampede Thursday evening, June 29.

The evening included opening ceremonies and grand entry, followed by the Wild West Riders.

The BRC bullriding began at 6:45 p.m. with 20 contestants from as close as Quesnel to as far away as Australia and Mexico competing.

The evening also included popular local events such as the Mountain Race, Wild Horse Race and Wild Cowgirls Race.

Friday night’s CPRA rodeo gets underway at 5:30 p.m.
