North Thompson Rugby players win awards with Kamloops Rugby Club

Two North Thompson Valley players were presented with awards during the recent Kamloops Rugby - Junior Raiders dinner

Two North Thompson Valley rugby players were recently acknowledge by the Kamloops Rugby Club - Junior Raiders during an awards dinner in Kamloops.

Austin Davis from Barriere won the U18 MVP award and Kalan Priede from Clearwater won the U18 Unsung Hero award.

The club is currently raising funds for these young players to have the opportunity of travelling and playing in Argentina in 2025.

Donations of bottles or cans are being accepted on their behalf at both the Clearwater and Barriere Bottle Depots if specified at time of drop off.

Michelle Johnson, a rugby mom and supporter of the trip to Argentina for the club, said, "We have boys on the U14, U16 and U18 teams in the North Thompson who — along with their families — will be fundraising to go on this trip of a lifetime! We are really proud of how both communities are helping them to reach their goal for this memorable trip."
