Well, it was a very hot summer day. A perfect day to kick off the beginning of July on the 1st. The debate of the night was whether the hot, blazing, sun was better than the hordes of mosquitoes still out there waiting for blood.

On a lighter note, this ladies night was also on Canada Day! Leslie Stirling and Barb Smith serenaded us ladies with O' Canada. It was a good moment to recognize that we are very lucky to be living in Canada. Mosquitoes and all.

And now, for the winners of the night.

Hole 1: KP in 3, Flight 1, went to Susan Mitchell.

Hole 2: Long drive for Flight 3 went to Leslie Stirling and long drive for Flight 4 went to Rose Seymour. Long putt, split between flights 1 and 2, went to Flight 2's Darleen LeCerf.

Hole 3: Hole 3 had an accuracy line painted on this week and the most accurate lady was Flight 2's Anita Hill.

Hole 4: KP for Flight 1 went to Susan Newberry, KP for Flight 2 went to Darleen LeCerf, and KP for Flight 3 went to Deb Winiski.

Hole 5: Long putt, split between Flights 1 and 2, went to Flight 1's Hayley Bradford. Long putt, split between Flights 3 and 4, went to Flight 3's Deb Winiski.

Hole 6: KP for Flight 1 went to Hayley Bradford, KP for Flight 3 went to Deb Winiski, and KP in 2 for Flight 4 went to Barb Smith.

Before we move onto the pins of Hole 7, I have something to say. Rest in Peace to the balls of Betty Foote (x2), Darlene Nickull (x2), Barb Smith, Cathy McNeil, Zarina Mitchell [I am especially sad about that one], and Hayley Bradford [first time ever for her].

Hole 7: KP in 2, split between Flights 1 and 2, went to Flight 2's Sam LeCerf. KP in 2, split between Flights 3 and 4, went to Flight 3's Karina Scott.

Hole 8: Long drive, split between Flights 3 and 4, went to Flight 3's Leslie Stirling.

Hole 9: Long drive, split between Flights 1 and 2, went to Flight 1's Susan Mitchell.

Least amount of putts went to Susan Mitchell with 13 putts and most amount of putts went to Cathy McNeil with 24 putts.

Now for our Flight winners! Flight 1: Low gross went to Monica Lee with a score of 41 and low net went to Susan Mitchell with a score of 32. Flight 2: Low gross went to Sam LeCerf with a score of 48 and low net went to Terri Jones with a score of 33.5. Flight 3: Low gross went to Evelyn Lucas with a score of 52 and low net went to Leslie Stirling with a score of 38. Flight 4: Low gross went to Theresa Robinson with a score of 61 and second low gross went to Wanda Amos with a score of 63.

This week, six ladies got chip-ins and two of those ladies also got birdies! In Flight 4: Barb Smith got a chip-in on Hole 5 and Wanda Amos got a chip-in on Hole 5 as well! Flight 3's Evelyn Lucas got a chip-in on Hole 2. Flight 2's Terri Jones got a chip-in on Hole 8. In Flight 1: Susan Mitchell and Monica Lee both had a birdie and a chip-in in their golf game. Susan had a birdie on Hole 1 and a chip-in on Hole 2. Monica ended her game with a chip-in and a birdie on Hole 9.

That's it and that's all folks! I hope to see everyone next week for another good day of golf.
