New air ambulance servicing the Kamloops area

BC Emergency Health Services (BCEHS) is in the process of modernizing its rotary-wing ambulance fleet.

BC Emergency Health Services (BCEHS) is in the process of modernizing its rotary-wing ambulance fleet, which will allow BCEHS to improve the quality of service they provide for British Columbians for years to come.

"The first of these new helicopters went into operation on March 1, 2025, in Parksville," said a BCEHS media spokesperson. "The new helicopter based in Kamloops started on May 23, 2025."

The new fleet is expected to be fully operational in late summer 2025.
