Power has been restored as of approximately 10:30 a.m
ORIGINAL:
A bird flew into BC Hydro wires Monday morning causing a major power outage in Vernon and Coldstream.
At about 9:40 a.m. power was cut to more than 4,000 BC Hydro customers.
Those in the area west of Aberdeen to the north of Commonage Road are currently in the dark.
BC Hydro has crews assigned to the incident.
It’s unclear when the power will be restored.
