The Barriere Farmers' Market vendors are continuing to give back annually by retaining a portion of the earnings from vendors to donate back to valued community organizations.
The Barriere Hospice Society is the first organization this year receiving a donation of $1,500 from the market vendors who were represented by Jerrard and Donna-Kay Brown. The cheque was presented to Hospice Society director, Jane Milburn, on May 8 during market day in Barriere.
"The hospice is such an important part of our community. It has touched the lives of so many and provided comfort to those in need," Jerrard Brown told the Barriere Star / Journal.
