Re: Canada needs a DOGE (Peace Arch News, Letters to the editor, April 3)
Let me start out by saying that I have relatives in the United States and I don’t hate or despise them. Knowing I am Canadian, I’ve had Americans apologize to me for the tariff debacle and Donald Trump calling Canada "nasty."
So much admiration for Trump and his administration?
Trump sees Gaza as an important piece of real estate and a place for a Trump resort.
There was no brokering a peace deal between Russia and Ukraine after Zelensky was bullied and humiliated on his last White House visit.
Trump’s administration deported 238 men who were flown to a El Salvador Terrorism Confinement Prison without any due process. 179 of the men (75%) had no criminal record in the U.S. or abroad.
And then there’s DOGE. More than 24,000 workers at 18 federal agencies were fired without probable cause.
No tariffs for the two maraschino cherry producers who, luckily, are in Oregon. Now that’s the cherry on top!
