Thank you to Mikael Kjellstrom for sharing this amazing photo of an industrious honey bee collecting the first pollen of the season from a pussy willow. The honey bee then packs all of the protein she can carry back to her hive on Boulder Mountain just north of Barriere. Kjellstrom advises, “Local pollinators will be coming out in force now as area fruit trees start blooming.”
