Well, thank goodness for Donna Salle. Golf Captain Deb Rainer was away on a short holiday this week and I am so thankful that Donna Salle was there to help me with the calculations and prizes. We also had a lovely round of golf….well, a lovely visit with a so- so round of golf. I firmly believe that there is no such thing as a bad round of golf when you are golfing with friends.

I had started an editorial this week about giving flowers to the living, however my heart won’t allow me to finish it right now because I can’t get the images of the baby fawn I saw standing by the side of the road not far from the Argo highways truck yesterday morning driving to work in Barriere. The highways truck was parked on highway 5 just south of Barriere, lights and signs out, blocking the body of a beautiful doe dead on the road – again.

The annual Dogs with Jobs on the weekend, July 29 – 30 at the North Thompson Agriplex in Barriere was action packed as dogs brought their owners in to compete, demonstrate and engage during the two days of events.
