2. Vancouver protest marks 2 years since Surrey Sikh temple leader's killing

A group advocating for Khalistan's independence held a protest outside the Indian Consulate in Vancouver on the two-year anniversary of Hardeep Singh Nijjar's murder. 

3. Record number of Surrey students earn $44K scholarships

Recipients from 16 different schools will each receive $11,000 per year for either two-year or four-year programs they choose to enrol in.
