From our archives - Lower North Thompson Community Forests begins to mill logs from the local community forest

May 2017 - From our archives. The Lower North Thompson Community Forest Society has a small mill set up in the Barriere Industrial Park where they have been processing a small amount Douglas-fir timber. The wood is from their community forest.Margaret Houben

From our archives in May of 2017 - 

Just past the Barriere Food Bank on Gilbert Drive, the Lower North Thompson Community Forest Society (LNTCFS) has set up a small mill where they have been processing Douglas-fir timber.

The wood is to primarily support the job creation projects although they hope to do some custom milling as well.
