Royal Canadian Legion Branch 242 will be making three families’ Christmas holidays brighter this year with their specialty hamper ‘tubs’ full of all the fixings for Christmas dinner, snacks, coffees, teas, games, gifts and extras like socks to keep those toes toasty warm.
Sandra Realff of the local Legion said, “We wanted to be discreet and felt it best to contact the three schools once we had a few families to choose from, our executive made a random draw this year. There is one person that will be delivering to the chosen families to protect their privacy. Donations from the Legion and a variety of businesses helped to make this possible.” The Legion member said the branch executive and members are proud to live in such a “warm hearted community.”
