Simpcw Days 2023 is a wrap.
What a great weekend. Six weeks to plan and in the blink of an eye it’s over. Driving home today and it felt lonely. Until next year Mt. Robson.
Gosh there are so many people to thank from the Simpcw Health, Social Development, NRD, and my girls from the Language House to the SRG Crew for putting up the big tent and catering to my requests. My hands are raised also to the amazing staff at B.C. Provincial Park, these gals and guys catered to our every need and there was no task that was shied away from by anyone. This weekend wouldn’t have happened without all of these amazing people.
To all of the individuals who led the events, thanks so much. To our cooks and helpers, I think I put on 10 pounds. My son Gerald made me a new drum because I was too busy to sit down and make one.
The Stickgame tournament was awesome and the family dance was outstanding. Yellowhead Helicopters donated two flights for six individuals, each person came back beaming: Gerry Lampreau, Brooke Mounsey, Darrell Mounsey, Kyle Jules, LeeAnn Eustache and Mel won the rides.
If I have forgotten anyone please know I did not mean to.
Until next year, keep “LIVING SIMPCW’LY” and please, let me know suggestions for activities now.
To all of the Simpcw members and community members that took the time to attend, I hope you enjoyed yourself and I look forward to communicating with you more.
