The annual Community Luncheon for students and staff at Barriere Secondary was another huge success on Dec. 11

Community groups and volunteers including the RCMP, the District of Barriere, Barriere Emergency Services, and the Barriere Lions hosted their annual Christmas lunch on Wednesday Dec. 11 at Barriere Secondary School.

Students and staff were fortunate to receive a holiday meal with all the fixings, thanks to many volunteers from across the community.

Following the luncheon students enjoyed a variety of activities throughout the school inspiring even more Christmas spirit and fun for all.

"We would like to thank Laura and her team of amazing volunteers from the Barriere community, including the Lions Club, Barriere RCMP, and Barriere BCEHS for making yet another Christmas Luncheon so successful," said new principal Derek Markides. "We feel incredibly grateful for the continued support of the community for creating such engaging opportunities for the students at Barriere Secondary School. We extend warm holiday wishes to one and all."
