"Rudolph got sick," said Dasher. "I hear him hacking away. I wonder if Buck will step in."

"NUH UH," says Buck.

"But why not?" asked Dasher. "You want the kids to be sad to see no presents under their trees. Please, please, please, I will do anything!

"Anything, you say," replies Buck. "YES, ANYTHING!"

"Ok, to get me to go with you to lead is a five hour energy drink, duct tape, and a flashlight."

"Ok. Vixen come with me to get the stuff Buck needs" "Since when did I get pulled in?" asks Vixen.

"You've got to help, please!" "Fiiiine, I will." whines Vixen. "Yippeeee!" Now let's go to Santa to get the stuff."

"Oh ho, ho, ho! It's been awhile since I saw you two," Santa chuckles when Dasher and Vixen walk in.

"Yea, we need something," says Vixen. "Ooohh, what will it be," asks Santa.

"We need a five hour energy drink ,duct tape, and a flashlight."

"Well, let me check if I have any of those. It looks like I have two things." Santa comes out with a five hour energy drink and duct tape.

"Thanks Santa," said Vixen.

"No problem," replied Santa.

"Huh, where are we going to find the flashlight?" asked Dasher. "Let's go ask Cupid," replied Vixen.

"Hey Cupid, what's up?" asked Dasher and Vixen. "We need a flashlight. Would you have one?"

"I don't think so but check with the other deer." "Darn, let's go. Thanks anyway."

As they are walking, they see Dancer.

"Hey Dasher and Vixen, what's up?" asked Dancer. "We need a flashlight and maybe you might have one?"

"No, sorry about that but check with Prancer. He might have one." Dasher and Vixen continued walking and found Prancer.

"Hey Prancer, do you have a flashlight?" asked Vixen._ "I lost mine, sorry about that."

"That's ok, nice seeing you! Bye."

"Hey Comet, would you have a flashlight?"

"No, sorry! Apparently they're very rare to find," replied Comet. "Ahh, ok, thanks bye."

"This is like Halloween, but no candy" joked Vixen. "Yea, well there's a few more to check," said Dasher Soon Dasher and Vixen found Blitzen.

"Hey, Blitzen! Do you have a flashlight?"

"No, I've been needing one, too. If you find two, please tell me."

"Vixen," Dasher yelled in a panicked voice. "It is almost 10:00 PM! We have two hours until we leave."

"Oh no, Donner is our last hope!" replied Vixen. "There he is!" "Donne, do you have a flashlight?" pleaded Vixen.

"No, but Bear has one!" yells Donner. "Hey, Bear, do you have a flashlight? "Yes, I do here."

"Thanks!"

"Dasher, we have everything! Now put it on quick and LET'S GO!"

Luckily, they got all of the presents delivered before the morning and Rudolph got better.

Finley, Grade 5

It was the time of year when Santa was getting ready for the big night. It was the day before Christmas Eve and Santa was all ready. He put the reindeer back in the barn for a good night sleep because tomorrow was a big day, but Rudolph and Dancer were wanting to explore Canada this year. It was the morning of the big day and Rudolph and Dancer were ready for their exploring. Santa was all ready and Mr.s Claus was saying goodbye to Santa. "Alright," said Santa "we better go" and then they flew into the sky. They went from Alberta to Skatchewan then to Canada. They stopped at every house but Dancer and Rudolph were exploring now. Santa was on his way to Williams Lake but he noticed that Rudolph and Dancer were missing. "where are they? we need Rudolph to lead this sleigh but there's no time to go back." He had to keep on going while Rudolph and Dancer were exploring. They walked and they walked and they walked. They were really hungry so they went to Tim Horton's. at Tim Horton's there were two workers working late. They were so surprised that a real reindeer was right there. Dancer walked closer to them and Wendy and Mary were wondering what they wanted. Wendy said "maybe they're hungry. I'll go grab some cookies." The reindeer ate a lot of cookies and drank a lot of hot chocolate. Now Wendy and Mary don't know what to do with the reindeer. Santa was still delivering presents and noticed that he forgot a house in Canada so he had to go back and it was close to Tim Horton's. The reindeer walked out of Tim Horton's to go for a walk then they saw Santa's sleigh so he took them and put them back in the ropes and said thank you to Wendy and Mary then he flew off into the sky.

Lottie, the Little Reindeer

It was the time of year when Santa and his reindeer and his elves were getting ready for Christmas. But this year was different. Santa was busy. Santa was getting really stressed for Christmas. But one reindeer named Lottie decided to talk to Santa. So that night Lottie got out of bed and said "Santa we need more elves." Santa said, "that is a good idea". So, Santa said "you are a brave Reindeer. I need you to go to the south pole". Lottie said "Santa it is so long and scary! I can't go." Santa said "Lottie, please go. If you don't go we won't have any elves for Christmas and I know you love Christmas." Lottie finally said she would go and she left off to the South Pole. Lottie did not realize it was going to be a 2-hour walk so she just kept on walking. Lottie was walking and she saw a light. Lottie thought it was the South Pole so she kept on running as fast as she could. While Lottie was running she fell in a hole! She was yelling" help." No one could hear her. Finally she stopped falling and landed on the Eiffel Tower in Paris. She was so scared she did not see the pigeon on the ground. Pigeon said "what are you doing in a big city like this little reindeer?" "My name is Lottie. Can you tell me where I am please, I'm lost." The pigeon said "you are in the big city of Paris." Lottie started to cry but the pigeon said "please stop crying! I'll help you find your way home." Lottie said "Thank you" and stopped crying. The pigeon and Lottie walked everywhere looking for her home. They were having fun but still could not find Lottie's home. Finally Lottie thought that she saw her family . They ran as fast as they could towards the reindeer. Lottie was finally reunited with her family and her siblings said "Lottie you have to come home. we're all waiting .There's only 24 hours till Christmas." Lottie said goodbye to the pigeon and was off at home. She went to go see Santa and he said "Lottie are you okay?" Lottie said "yeah, I'm just happy to be home."

Rudolph's big adventure MerryChristmas

On Christmas Eve Rudolph was feeling a bit curious so when they to6k off to deliver presents he slipped out of his collar to go to Tim Horton's. When he got into the Tim Horton's there was one worker and her name was Wendy. Wendy gave Rudolph a cookie. It was the new holiday smile cookie and lie was so happy so he ate it right away. When he was finished he wanted to explore the world with Wendy. First, they explored England, France, and New Hampshire. On their way to New York they saw Santa so they hid because they knew they were going to get in trouble for leaving the sled .They ran in New York for so tong! They ran and ran and ran almost for two whole hours. They were so scared they had to find a hiding spot. It took them a long time but they found one. ii was a nice hiding spot and no one would be able to find them. But right when they thought they were hidden, Santa found them and he dd not look happy. He yelled "how could you? How could you? How could you? Your going to go back to the North Pole and stay there for a long time. I hope you have fun Rudolph and Wendy. Now Wendy you have to stay with me at the North Pole because we can't let our secret get out."

"Okay," said Wendy. "I won't let you down, Santa but I still have to be able to see my family on Christmas."

"I will let you see your family on Christmas," said Santa,

So they all went to the North Pole and had cookies and hot chocolate for the end of the long Christmas Day.

The Christmas Tragedy

Corbin Summers, Grade 5

One Christmas Eve night in 1930 tragedy struck. Rudolph was sick. Santa needed to act fast so he called me. I was fast to respond and I suggested a pegasus and here are three reasons why. First, let me explain what a pegasus is. A pegasus is a unicorn with wings. Now let's start. First, I think a pegasus would be a good substitute because a pegasus can already fly. Second, to get prepared all you have to do is attach a red light bulb to its nose and a battery pack to its back and away you go. Lastly, a white pegasus blends into the snow. So I sent my letter to St. Nicholas and he searched for miles until he found a black pegasus and named it Black Jack and Santa delivered all the presents to all the good girls and boys. And they lived Happily Ever After.

The Night Without Rudolph

once upon a time there was a reindeer named Rudolph and it was October 14, 2015. We were going to see him then we landed and we drove to him. When we got there we saw that Rudolph was hurt and he was the leader and they couldn't go without him so we were looking for some medicine for him. We looked everywhere and we found some medicine and we gave him some. hH was feeling better but he still couldn't stand up because his foot was cut. So we looked for a bandage for him then we found one for him and put one on him. He still couldn't stand up and we knew he couldn't stand up so we needed to find another deer to lead. But we didn't know who to lead so we were thinking who to lead because we didn't know who is the strongest to lead. We were looking at all the reindeer and we all have different ideas and they were all medium sizes but one was a little bigger so I suggested we choose that one. Everyone wondered if he was strong enough. I told them he is strong enough and they said okay. We have to to get everything on him in a hurry. We gave everyone a carrot and we strapped all the other ones on and gave them one too and then Santa left to give everyone their presents.

The sneaky cookies

Harper Kruger Grade 5

There were two kids named Harry and Jerry and they were walking home on a hot day from school. They had to walk down the street to get to their house. Their mom was on the couch eating pizza pops.

Thump, thump, thump! The mom waited a second to answer the door. As she opened the door they came right through the door and rushed to the tv. While they were waiting for their show to come on they saw an ad for a kid's cookie contest. Then Jerry had an idea, a risky idea but a good one. I told Harry my idea and he liked it, too!

The next day our mom asked if we wanted to drive but we said no because we were secretly going to the cookie contest. We waited outside for it to open. It opened by itself and we could tell that the host was rich. We went in and sat down and waited for it to start.

Suddenly Bob came running in. If you don't know who he is, he is the class pet. He told us that if we did not let him in our group he would tell our mom. We didn't really have a choice so we let him join. Later the host came in and took us to the kitchen. The kitchen looks like a rich Gramma house. We went to one of the tables and then the host started to explain what we would be doing. "You have an hour to make Christmas cookies 3-2-1, GO!" Harry got milk and eggs, Bob was doing something and Jerry got some candy to crash up. Harry poured the milk and Jerry cracked the egg and put the candy in the bowl but then they remembered they didn't know how to make cookies. So they did their best. Harry was mixing everything up, but the team with only girls on it threw flour at us. But, then Bob made a robot and it had babies and they threw flour at them. After the fight was over they put their dough in the oven.

When they took it out of the oven it was all crumbled up. Bob said there was too much flour and that was what made it look like that. But the robot put cinnamon in it!

The hour was up and the girls went first. They hated it because there was too much flour. We were up next and they said that they loved it, they like that we added cinnamon. But then we had one more team that looked so good but they hated it because it had too much flour. So we won but then the robot took it from us. We walked home sad, but soon they were going to be more sad because their mom was watching them on the tv.

Rudolph is sick

 Finn Walker, Grade 4

Hello children! Rudolph is sick and can't lead the team! I will need to find a replacement for poor Rudolph. The elk is just like the reindeer and will be perfect to lead the team around the world. First reason is the elk is a good leader to lead the team and helps other reindeer if they are having some trouble. Second reason is the elk won't get tired on a long Christmas night. Third reason is it has a sharp memory to focus on where it is going and fixing problems and mishaps like Rudolph being sick. Fourth reason is having an elk that is so kind and helpful is great! Fifth reason the elk can be controlled easily by listening to instructions and following Santa's guidelines. Sixth reason is an elk can adapt to any environment and is used to the cold and lives near the North Pole.

Seventh reason is it's a patient animal so if there is a breakdown with the sleigh, it won't go crazy and run away. Eighth reason is that the elk is very loyal and confident to go out on Christmas night. Ninth reason is that the elk is not that type of crazy animal like a bunny or bear. Last, but not least, after the elk is released into the wild again it will learn to adapt to its surroundings and environment. After Rudolph recovers, he will be ready for next Christmas. Have a holly, jolly, merry Christmas!

Christmas

One day on Christmas Eve Santa was getting ready to deliver presents for the kids. Santa went to go get the reindeer from the bun and found that Rudolph was sick.

"Oh no, Santa" said Dancer.

"Go get Mrs.Claus," Santa said.

When Mrs. Claus arrived, Santa said, "Rudolph is sick yes and I don"t know if we will have Christmas this year."

"Actually," Dancer said "I know a guy." "You do?" said Santa.

"Yep," said Dancer. "Let's go get him! I am not going to let all the kids down."

Santa and Dancer walked and walked and walked and walked and finally got to the polar bear's cave.

"Let's go, said Comet."

"Ok," said Santa. "Let's go. Polar are you there?" "Yes?" said Polar.

"We need your help" said Cornet. "You do?" said Polar.

"Yes," said Dasher.

They walked back and got into position with Comet, Prancer, Dasher, Vixen, Cupid, and Polar.

"Look, I can see your workshop" said Polar.

"Oh, ya" said Cupid, "we go from house to house." "Finally the last house I'm going in," said Santa.

"I'm back! My job is done! Let's go back to Mrs.Claus." When Santa got back he asked Mrs. Clause if Santa was still sick and Mrs. Clause said "no, he is fine."

Holiday horror

Wyatt, Grade 5 

One Christmas Eve Rudolph told Santa he was sick and couldn't guide the sleigh for him. Dasher, Dancer, Comet, and Vixen were shocked.

"Who will guide the slay?" asked Dixon. "What will we do?" asked comet.

"Settle down" yelled Santa.

"We will find a new animal to guide the sleigh." "Like what?" asked Dasher.

"I don't know, but we better start looking," said Santa.

They walked and walked until they found a den. It was a fox den. They looked for the fox but couldn't find it. So they walked and walked and walked and walked and walked and walked until they found a seal. But the seal refused to help. They walked and walked for ten grueling hours until they heard something.

"Santa!" yelled a polar bear. "I heard you were looking for someone to guide your sleigh" yelled the polar bear.

"Would you like to?" asked Santa. "Yes!" said the polar bear.

"Alright then, let's go thank you". Said Santa.

On their way back they saw many polar bears and Santa's polar bear bragged to his friends. They walked and walked and walked and walked for ten freezing hours.

When they got back Santa prepared the sleigh. The polar bear played with the reindeer in the snow. He also drank some glacier water, he loved it. Santa named the polar bear snowflake.

"Everyone get in your positions!" Yelled Santa. Everyone went to their positions.

"Are you ready!" yelled Santa. "Ready" yelled everyone.

"3-2-1 lift off," yelled santa.

The sleigh soared through the sky and it went house to house all around the world. When they got back Santa gave snowflake a treat.

The Weird Christmas

Abigail Mary Beeton, Grade 5

Once upon a time there was a reindeer named Rudolph and he met an elf named Corlen. One day Rudolph was in Santa's office and he found a key. Later that day Santa told Rudolph he lost his key and told him to find it. But he was busy because Christmas was tomorrow and he needed to get ready. Rudolph noticed that Santa was acting strange. Somehow the key glowed Iike a star in the middle of  the  night and it pointed in the direction of the door that said "keep out! Beware of the Yeti of saint-ra-do. "Rudolph told Corlen about it and how Santa was acting strange, so he told him that he was going to escape. When they left they saw a poster of Santa, but it did not look like the Santa inside for some odd reason. He soon hears another reindeer coming and sees it's that annoying one and he says "Rudolph we need you! We are failing without you!" Rudolph tells him about the poster and the other reindeer says "I will tell everyone else, and also I found this weird star and thought you might need it."

It's finally Christmas day and he could feel the chill in the air and the cold snow under his feet. Soon he finds a billboard about prison. He knows it's for bad elves and reindeer, so he does not go, he finds a lost and found and looks inside and sees "Santos Journal' and looks inside. It has a section for who's in prison. He remembers that Santa also lost his journal and reads it. 1. Gabriel, oh I miss him 2. John, 3. gab, 4.james, 5. Sonny? Who's Sonny? Wait, Wait, THAT''S SANTA'S NAME!!! He immediately rushes outside and it's a YETI. The yeti of saint-ra-do! Rudolph starts running to the prison and rushes inside and he goes cell to cell . It                                                              seems like he has no hope until he finds the bad side of prison and the first cell is Santa's. Santa says "Fake Santa" put me here and is going to enslave all of you to make mind controlling toys!" Rudolph goes to the front counter and says "Santa has some work to do in the courtyard. Can I have the key to his cell? He will be back in a jiffy" and the guard gives him the key.

Soon he frees Santa and starts going back to the toy shop but the weather is too strong they can't make it on foot but the yeti comes. Santa and Rudolph are scared but Santa gets a big, huge, scary, fast, and fun idea. get on the yeti! Santa yells, It   seems that we all get the same idea, except the giant just wants to know where they make the cookies so they get to the toy shop and put the yeti in the storage room and go inside. Santa sees all the reindeer are working their butts off so he tells fake Santa that he can't do this and they need a break and yeti breaks through the wall and chases fake Santa to the prison and they never see him again. The key that glowed like a star turned into a star, and floated to the Christmas tree making the wind blow away all the snow making the sun glow like the inside of the chimney and then an hour later they delivered presents to the whole wide world

The little reindeer's adventure

Lilly Young, Grade 5

It was a late night on Christmas Eve and Comet and Donner were listening to a story about a little boy who goes into the woods and finds really cool places like candy land, winter wonderland, an elf village and lots more. They really wanted to go to those places so they made a plan to leave and go explore the world beyond the North Pole. So they waited for everybody to go to sleep then Comet and Donner would leave. So they waited and waited till everyone was asleep, then they left.The trip was pretty boring until there was a really big gingerbread house. "Comet; lookat this," said Donner. "This is so fun. I can't believe it, this feels like a dream."

So Donner and Comet ate as much candy as they could. "I'm so full," said Comet. "Me ,too," Donner agreed. "Well we should be on our way."

"Yeah," agreed Comet.

Then Comet and Donner started walking until they heard a sneeze. "What was that? Ok come out," said Donner, acting all big and strong. "No," said a little voice from behind the bush.

"Bushes don't talk," Comet said.

"Ok fine.I will come out." Then a little elf came out from behind the bush. "Present? What are you doing here?" asked Comet.

"I heard you guys planning to escape and I wanted to come ,too so I followed you." "Fine, well you're coming with us," said Comet.

So all three of them kept walking. Meanwhile at the North Pole Blitzen woke up and saw that Comet and Donner were gone. Oh no! He waited until Santa came down to get some cookies and milk.

"Santa, Santa!"

"What?" Santa said in a tired and grumpy voice. "Comet and Donner are gone. They left to explore."

"WHAT!" Said Santa hardley waking everybody up. "Get the elves!"

While everybody was freaking out at the North Pole, Comet Donner and Present found a lake and they were so tired they fell asleep on a piece of ice. They woke up several hours later and were in the middle of the lake.

"Oh no!" What are we going to do? We are stuck in the middle of the lake" said Comet. "We are going to have to swim or paddle back to shore."

"We can't do that! We are going to freeze" said Present.

Meanwhile at the North Pole Santa got in his sleigh and started looking for the three of them.

"Guys, look there is Santa!" "Down here!" they all yelled.

So Santa picked the three of them up. He started flying around until he stopped at the North Pole.

"Santa, aren't you going to punish us?" Said Present. "We were bad." "Yes, I will, but we will worry about that later" said Santa.

So Santa and the reindeer delivered presents with time to spare. "Well, that was one crazy night," said Santa.

"You're right," Comet and Donner agreed and everybody went to bed.

The Christmas Eve catastrophe

Weston Salle, Grade 4

Once upon a time there was a reindeer named Rudolph who wanted to go on an adventure. It was a weary dark night on Christmas Eve 1969. Rudolph went on an adventure to fly over the mountains and towns through blizzards. Once when he was flying over a dark snowy forest, Rudolph suddenly started to lose energy and started falling. He fell faster and faster and faster then he hit the ground. There were two bears playing, a Mom and cub, and they heard Rudolph fall. They ran over to see what happened. Once they found him they were confused at first but, after they realized what was happening and they started trying to help. They sat there for a while and were just about to walk away when suddenly Rudolph woke up. They helped him get his energy back and soon enough he took back off. On his way back he saw towns and cities he had never seen before. He even saw a pair of moose wrestling! After he got back to the North Pole he got a cup of hot chocolate and by the time he was done he had to lead the team and deliver presents. And when all the kids woke up they opened their gifts and they all lived happily ever after!!!
