It’s that time of year again in Barriere! The Pentecostal Christian Life Assembly’s 11th annual Christmas banquet is set to take place on Dec. 10, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Attendees are asked to bring either a dollar, or a non-perishable item for the Barriere Food Bank, per person. All proceeds are given to the Barriere Food Bank.
There will of course be the always popular silent auction, and all of the table centers will become door prizes.
This event exemplifies community partnerships and spirit, as the other churches in Barriere provide baked goods for the desserts, the Barriere Lions serve up the food and have also provided a donation to help purchase the turkeys, the local Food Bank volunteers help with the dishes and whatever else needs to be done, and volunteers from Pentecostal Christian Life Assembly Church, and neighbours of the church, help out with the turkeys.
Last year this event raised nearly $2,000 for the Barriere Food Bank.
