The North Thompson Fall Fair kicked off its annual Christmas light up on Friday (Dec. 15) to the delight of children and their families.
Everything sparkled with joy in the beautifully decorated grounds thanks to so many volunteers taking part in a number of work bees prior to the light up. A team effort, to be sure.
The light up is open to walk throughs or drive throughs until Dec. 23 and will reopen after Christmas from Dec. 27 to 30, if weather permits. Visitors are welcome anytime from 4:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. and are asked to make a donation at the entrance.
The event has many new additions this year with seasonal light displays and hundreds of more new Christmas lights.
Everyone is welcome to enjoy caroling and skits in the fair hall and to warm up around the campfire while sipping hot chocolate and nibbling some goodies.
Don’t forget to check out the miniature train displays and bring your camera for great holiday photo opportunities with the kids.
Watch for Santa visiting the Christmas Fair and you may even spot the Grinch sneaking around.
Visitors are asked to enter the fairgrounds from the Dunn Lake Road entrance.
