Barriere’s Christmas Extravaganza was a wonderfully holiday-spirited event over the weekend and enjoyed by many, in spite of the first significant snowfall this year.
Held at the North Thompson Fair Grounds on Saturday (Dec. 2), the event boasted three buildings full of crafters, artisans and home-based businesses. The Barriere Secondary high school boys basketball team was also on site, selling Christmas trees as a fundraiser to support their team activities.
It was a great kick-off to the holiday season in Barriere and surrounding areas, and showcased the talents of so many who create beautiful handmade gifts year-round.
