The Barriere and District Heritage Society and the current guide members from the Barriere area are working to compile the history of the Brownies, Guides and Pathfinders in Barriere.
A ‘Tea and Talk’ is scheduled for Jan. 28 from 10:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Senior’s Hall in Barriere. The Heritage Society is looking forward to hearing from past Guides, Brownies or Pathfinders about the history and memories they have regarding the activities they engaged in when a member of one of these groups in the area.
The Heritage Society would like to document the dates and locations of any previous events that took place involving these groups.
“We would love to hear about individual stories of belonging to the Guides, Brownies or Pathfinders to preserve and share them with the younger members as a legacy project,” said president of the Barriere and District Heritage Society, Lorene Fennell.
If you have any questions about the upcoming ‘Tea and Talk’ or have stories you’d like to share as part of this project please contact, Lorene Fennell via email: fennelllorene85@gmail.com
