Barriere and District Food Bank president Louise Peters is praising the community for its generosity, and describing the food bank's volunteers as "wonder workers."
"These folks did an amazing job on your behalf to support those in our community," she said. "Neighbours sharing food with neighbours."
She thanked everyone who donated, gave of their time at community fundraising events and shared so generously so the food bank could respond to those who needed support.
"The Barriere and area community is caring, compassionate and generous," Peters said. "Thank you for all you do and have done to make the season bright from your friends at the food bank."
Peters also thanked the community for showering the food bank with donations during the Cram the Cruiser event.
"We are so grateful to the RCMP, AG Foods, Barriere Chamber of Commerce and all those who donated," she said.
