North Okanagan lacrosse teams had a tough Friday (June 13) night, with both the Armstrong Shamrocks and Vernon Tigers faltering.
The Tigers took on the Thompson Okanagan Senior Lacrosse League (TOSLL) leading Kelowna Raiders at Kal Tire Place.
Despite scoring eight times, the Tigers were outclassed by the Raiders, losing 19-8.
The offensive onslaught by Kelowna was led by Andrew Garant, who scored five times and assisted on five others.
Parker Beaudry, Cody Teichroeb and Leigh Kinakin all buried hat tricks, while Josh Yachney scored once and assisted seven times for Kelowna, who are 8-1 on the year.
Vernon got four goals from Ryan Johnson and a three-point night from Jacob Brewer. The Tigers sit 0-7 on the year.
The Shamrocks were also at home, playing at the Sunbelt Sports Centre against the Kamloops Rattlers.
In a tight and competitive game, the Rattlers proved too much, winning 10-8.
Kamloops was led by the dynamic duo of Riley Petersen and Blaine Boomer, who each contributed five goals.
Armstrong got a hat trick from Kyle Versteeg, who also chipped in two helpers.
Next up for the Shamrocks (4-4 on the season) is a regular season finale against the Tigers on Friday, June 27. Game time is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. at Vernon's Kal Tire Place.
