Transit is running in the Fraser Valley again but temporary changes are in effect at the Chilliwack Mall transit exchange, according to BC Transit.

An alert went out to notify bus riders where to find the new, temporary transit exchange now that the Chilliwack Mall exchange has closed temporarily.

“Effective Sunday August 6, the Chilliwack Mall Exchange will be closed for construction,” according to the BC Transit alert. It will be closed until mid-September.

A temporary mall exchange spot has re-located across from Alpine Dental during the construction.

“BC Transit thanks you for your patience and apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause.”

All transit is free in the Fraser Valley until Aug. 31. BC Transit announced transit services would resume Aug. 6 after a labour agreement was signed between First Transit Canada and Local 561 on July 21.
