Kamloops BC SPCA Spay and Neuter Clinic will provide free-of-charge neuter procedures, vaccinations and de-worming medications for feral cats across the region on Friday, March 31.
The bi-annual a feral cat spay and neuter day will run from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the clinic on Tranquille Road in Kamloops, BC SPCA Kamloops said in a statement.
The event is in collaboration with local feral rescue and animal shelter organizations. Volunteers along with students and faculty from Thompson Rivers University Animal Health Technology Program are making the event possible, according to the clinic. The vaccines and de-worming medications were donated by Zoetis and Boehringer Ingelheim, along with funding from the SPCA Vancouver Hospital Trust Fund.
Community members who want to use the Spay and Neuter Clinic services for a feral cat on this day can contact the clinic via email or telephone. The clinic asks people to contact kamloopsclinic@spca.bc.ca with “FERAL DAY” as the subject, or call and leave a message at 250-376-6055.
