Little Fort Fire Department has put the final touches on the fire suppression water storage system tank located on the east side of the North Thompson River.
This was a joint project with Simpcw and Chu Chua Fire Department and Little Fort Fire Department started earlier this year in pre-planning to protect the North Thompson Valley from wildfire risk. This 5,000-gallon water storage tank provides immediate access to fire suppression water on the east side of the North Thompson River and east of the CN rail line in the valley.
This is a welcomed addition to the fire suppression system with this location being fully operational for the further protection of residents, businesses and visitors to the North Thompson.
