The Barriere & District Heritage Society and the North Thompson Museum held their annual Yarden Sale on Saturday, May 4 at the Museum in Barriere. The day was pleasant and the heritage gardens at the mueum were just starting to come into bloom, although the tulips were already well on their way.
The sale is always an interesting mixture of garage sale items, plants, and socializing, and it is also the day when the, Barriere & District Heritage Society Spring Raffle is drawn. First prize raffle winner of a collapsible wagon full of garden goodies was Marie Downing, and second prize winner of a collapsible wagon was Theresa Robinson.
Heritage Society rep Lorene Fennell said, “Barriere AG Foods deserves a huge thank you for letting us use their lobby to sell our raffle tickets.”
She also noted all proceeds from the event and raffle are used towards the continuing operation and maintenance of the North Thompson Museum & Archives.
