The Salmon Arm Silverbacks were bitten by the Penticton Vees in overtime in one of two home games played over the weekend.

Friday (Feb. 21) evening's game at Rogers Rink saw the 'Backs get off to a strong start, dominating the first period with a tally of 3-0. Penticton made a comeback in the third, beginning with a penalty conversion at 8:16, scored by Caton Ryan. The Vees added goals at 12:06 and 18:46, and wound up pushing the game into overtime where Ryan delivered the tiebreaker, giving Penticton a 4-3 win.

On Saturday, Feb. 22, the Silverbacks hosted Cranbrook Bucks for a back-and-forth game that ended in a 2-1 win for the home team. Cooksey was first to light the scoreboard with a power-play conversion, assisted by Martin and Ben MacBeath, late in the first frame.

Jodoin potted a single halfway through the second frame, assisted by Miller, while the Bucks' single was delivered in the last minute of the third period.
