Over the past 10 years the annual Barriere 911 Emergency Services Golf Tournament has provided over $42,000 in donations and bursaries.

Tournament organizer Darin Underhill says the program, has funded numerous youth groups and organizations from Clearwater down to Kamloops.

“We have also funded three bursary programs which led us to forming the Barriere Emergency Services (BES) Bursaries,” explained Underhill, “All groups used the funds to enhance programs in place or start new programs to provide area youth with diverse opportunities to allow all to participate. Our goal is to have all youth having a fun, healthy and safe choices.”

Sponsorships are currently being sought for the tournament, which is offering Par, Birdie, Eagle and Albatross levels of choice for those who would like to lend their support.

If you would like more information about the tournament, or how you can participate as a sponsor please contact BES Golf Tournament Committee members Deb at 250-318-2590, or Darin at 250-299-1130.
