If you are waiting for someone to call you with an appointment date to receive your second vaccination for COVID-19 you might be waiting a long time.

This is because anyone who received their first shot of vaccine before April 1 will not be in the province wide booking system because that system didn’t go live until April 1.

Anyone vaccinated before that date will not be in the new system. Anyone registered after April 1 will be.

If you need to register into the new system to make an appointment for your second dose, you can register by going online to: www.getvaccinated.gov.bc.ca or by calling 1-833-838-2323.

You can register for yourself or for someone else, such as a parent or grandparent.

To complete the registration, you will need to provide a Personal Health Number.

After you register, you will receive a text, email or phone call when it is your turn to book a vaccine appointment.

Don’t expect to book an appointment the same day you register. Booking notices will be sent by 13 weeks from your first shot to ensure the second one is administered by 16 weeks.

If you were registered after April 1st there is no need to register again.
