West Shore RCMP Serious Crime Unit carried out a search of a mobile home located on Songhees Reserve lands.
The search warrant for the leased mobile home was issued in connection with drug trafficking under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act, said the RCMP in a news release.
Alongside the Island District Emergency Response Team, the RCMP searched the home Wednesday (May 14).
The RCMP said locals in the area can expect to see a police presence while the search warrant is underway and that there is no threat to the public.
No further information will be shared while the investigation is ongoing.
