June 29 is International Mud Day

It is, of course, the Canada Day long weekend coming up but did you know Saturday, June 29, is International Mud Day? With that in mind, here's mud in the eye of a motorist in 1939, trying to get his stuck vehicle out of the mud on the way to SilverStar Mountain. Unfortunately, clouds and some showers are in this long weekend forecast. Stay out of the mud!

Mud is a distinct possibility for International Mud Day Saturday, June 29.

Environment Canada's North Okanagan weather forecast for the Saturday of the Canada Day long weekend calls for mostly clouds and a five per cent chance of showers.

The odds of precipitation on Sunday, and Canada's 157th birthday on Monday, increase to 34 per cent for Sunday, and 40 per cent chance on Monday.

Enjoy a safe, fun long weekend. Here's mud in your eye.
