UPDATE: Snowfall warning ended for Blue River

It did not snow as much as expected

A snowfall warning is in place for the North Columbia including Blue River has ended.

Snowfall with total amounts of 15 to 20 cm was expected Friday afternoon to Saturday morning.

“A strong Pacific low pressure system will move across B.C. today and Saturday. Periods of light snow will start over North Columbia this morning and become heavy this evening. Heavy snow will continue through Saturday morning and ease to periods of light snow Saturday afternoon.”

There was also a fog advisory in effect for the North Thompson and North and West Columbia regions with near zero visibility expected or occurring Friday morning.

That advisory has since been lifted.
