A two-vehicle crash occurred at approximately 3:10 p.m. on Sunday (April 7) along Highway 5 at the Sun Peaks turn-off intersection at Heffley Creek.
Reports from witnesses noted a white car making a left turn at the intersection onto Highway 5 south into the path of an oncoming black Dodge Ram pickup truck.
The Highway 5 northbound lane is now open as recovery continues at the scene. A witness reports a tow truck at the crash site.
