An iconic North Okanagan theatre group is looking for people to help shape the direction of the company.
Caravan Farm Theatre Society Board is looking for directors to help with the future of the 47-year-old professional outdoor theatre company.
"We are seeking applicants with energy, ideas, and expertise in the key areas of fundraising, finance (including CPA skills), and capital projects," said the board in a release. "As a board member, you'll experience the magic of the Caravan’s culture through opening night galas, future visioning retreats, and community gatherings."
Board members will engage with vibrant people, support world-class creative productions, and play a key role in ensuring Caravan Farm Theatre thrives for years to come. This volunteer position requires an estimated five-to-10 hours per month, with monthly board meetings and committee discussions held remotely or in person.
Terms are for two years, with the option to seek re-election.
To be considered for nomination by the Governance Committee, contact board chair Teresa Marshall at info@caravanfarmtheatre.com by the deadline of Thursday, Feb. 20.
Include a brief summary of your professional qualifications and a short note explaining why you’re passionate about contributing to the Caravan Farm Theatre as a board member.
"This is your opportunity to help ensure a bold, vibrant future for a legendary company," said the board. "If you believe in the power of the arts to build community, we want to hear from you."
The board adds, however, that just submitting an application does not guarantee nomination or election.
Caravan's annual general meeting is planned for Sunday, March 30, at 1 p.m. at the theatre grounds.
